We are currently looking for a Database Administrator to join our IT Department at our offices in Limassol, Cyprus.

Responsibilities:

• Position requires a strong understanding of database schema objects management, data modeling, and architecture.
• Assist in database design, development, and maintenance.
• Perform database backup and recovery, database migration, and archive systems and procedures.
• Assist with implementation of database security infrastructure and build and maintain user access accounts.
• Identify and troubleshoot database issues and the ability to analyze, design, build, test and implement solutions. Implement and troubleshoot triggers, views, stored procedures and data integrity constraints.
• Install and test software upgrades and patches.
• Monitor database performance trends to identify anomalies or errors.
• Monitor file system space, database allocation, verify efficient use of disk storage, optimize space allocation, prevent out-of-space situations, and proactively plan for increased capacity and scalability.
• Maintain existing SQL and MYSQL.
• Build data reports for defect and software tracking.
• Document new and existing tasks, training, and DB code.
• Support the DEVOPS team in the schedule definition and estimation of the workload.
• Deliver related documentation following TTCM policies and procedures.
• Create database views, design/create databases, creation scripts, database foreign keys and indexes.
• Install SQL Server and Reporting Services.
• Install report models and reports into production.
• Maintain, update, and automate DB creation process

Skills and Qualifications:

• Associate’s Degree in an IT related field.
• Understanding of Structured Query Language (SQL) 
• 3+ years of experience with relational database, including SQL Server, MySQL.
• 2+ years of experience in Forex Industry
• Proficiency in LINUX and Windows commands, developing scripts using shell programming with Bash or PowerShell
• Experience with virtual environments (preferably AWS and Hyper-V) and SQL clustered environments.
• Knowledge HTML, CSS
• Knowledge of PHP is a plus.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Able to prioritize and complete tasks in a fast paced environment
• Power BI for Office 365 or Tableau

Working Conditions

• Hours of operation are between 0900 and 1800 (MON-FRI).
• 8 hour shift between hours of operation, 40 hours per week.
• Occasional need to support after hours and weekends as required by mission specific requirements.
• Medium sized team including engineers, Senior Sys Admins, Project Manager.
