Social Media Manager

We’re scaling at Skilling! - We are seeking an individual to fit the role of a Social Media Manager to join our team and help us cultivate and grow our online communities across the financial services landscape. The role entails working closely with the Marketing and Commercial teams, as well teams across departments and will report directly to the Global Head of Brand.
Your day to day:
- Manage all of Skilling’s social media accounts
- Develop and implement Skilling's social media strategy
- Grow the Skilling brand by cultivating our online communities and protecting our online reputation
- Generate, publish and share original content for driving increased engagement daily
- Engage with fans and followers, and effectively respond to and handle queries, comments and messages across channels and platforms.
- Manage & implement Skilling’s social media editorial calendar
- Research and stay on top of competition, benchmark trends, audience preferences and anything trending on social and in the financial markets
- Coordinate with content manager and designers for the creation of unique social content (text, images, infographics, video, etc)
- Manage Skilling’s reputation across forums, review sites, directories, etc.
- Gauge engagement, applause and amplification rates and report on social KPIs.
- Be a Skilling evangelist and a loudspeaker across our social communities amplifying efforts on Skilling campaigns and brand awareness initiatives
- Help our local commercial teams by providing social media support when needed
Who you are:
- You love social, and are social - you’re not just a regular user of social media but you’re social media savvy and fully immersed in social environments
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to express yourself both verbally and in writing
- Strong networking and interpersonal skills
- Skilled at formulating responses for community dialogue
- A self-starter and very net-savvy and you know how to use these skills to accelerate outreach and growth
- Creative and innovative in using social media channels to amplify brand efforts with perfectly orchestrated posting, trend/news-jacking, social campaigning
- Logical with strong decision-making skills to turn around social and review responses quickly
- Experience with social media management systems and reporting tools
- Excellent attention to detail
- A genuine team player with the desire to always deliver the best outcome possible in a timely manner
- Good knowledge and interest in the financial services/ investment markets
- The ability to work with a fast-paced, agile team and balance multiple tasks at once
- Eagerness to advance your career beyond social media management
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or PR
- Minimum 3 year’s experience within the Forex and CFD trading industry
- Experience in social media best practices
